At Home Instead, we believe ongoing training is essential for our caregivers to ensure that clients receive the highest quality home care. Recently, our caregivers participated in a dementia activity class where they experienced first-hand some of the challenges those living with dementia may face.
Through simulations that affected touch, vision, and hearing, caregivers completed tasks to better understand how overwhelming daily activities can be. This experience helps us provide support with greater patience and compassion, reminding us to meet our clients where they are.
