We are seeking a Lead Care Pro — a dedicated and experienced professional who supports both client care and Caregiver development. This position is perfect for someone passionate about making an impact while taking a leadership role in supporting our Care Pro team.
Position Summary
The Lead Care Pro provides hands-on, high-quality, non-medical care to clients while mentoring peers, introducing new Care Pros to clients, and assisting with ongoing training. This role bridges the gap between care delivery and leadership — ensuring consistency, communication, and excellence across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Client Care
Assist with open shifts as needed.
Deliver personalized in-home support such as:
Companionship and conversation
Meal preparation and light housekeeping
Assistance with bathing, grooming, and dressing
Errands and incidental transportation
Specialized care (e.g., dementia, hospice, chronic conditions)
Accurately document client care and report any changes in condition.
Follow client-specific care plans and adhere to Home Instead’s standards of care.
Must be able to travel to any client within the franchise’s service area (approximately 50-75% travel required).
Mentorship & Training
Serve as a mentor and positive role model for Care Pros.
Shadow new hires and introduce them to clients to ensure smooth transitions and consistent care.
Provide hands-on support during onboarding and assist with ongoing education.
Maintain supportive contact with new hires during their first 90 days.
Reinforce company values and best practices through real-world examples and consistent feedback.
Conduct Supervisory Visits with Care Pros as assigned by the Care Pro Supervisor.
Key Qualifications
Compassionate, dependable, and passionate about supporting older adults.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Patient and supportive when working with new Care Pros.
Must have a valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation.
Able to lift up to 25 lbs., bend, kneel, and work in varied home environments.
Prior caregiving experience required; leadership or training experience preferred.
