Kristin Dahlquist, DSW, MPH is the Owner and President of Home Instead serving Denver, Aurora, Littleton, Lakewood, Centennial, Englewood, Cherry Creek, and the surrounding areas.

Kristin is deeply committed to improving the lives of seniors both locally and nationally. In addition to her experience at several Home Instead franchises, she worked at the Alzheimer's Association and served as her district's delegate to lobby in Washington, DC for funding for families and research. This first-hand experience was the catalyst for the dedication she feels to change the face of aging, and change the way we care for our parents here in Colorado.

She earned her Master of Public Health degree from The Ohio State University and her Doctorate in Social Work from the University of Southern California. She currently serves on the board of the Parkinson Association of the Rockies.

With over 12 years of experience in both home care and the assisted living industry I continue to find new ways to educate myself so I can support the changing care needs for aging adults in our community. Why Senior Care: Walking alongside my parents as a caregiver for my father during his mid/end stage dementia gave me insight into some of the challenges many seniors are facing. I was blessed to be able to take the time needed to help my dad. I realize many families are unable to do so. Dawn Griffith, CARE Manager

Job Responsibilities: Meets with potential Clients and their families to discuss Home Instead services, and conducts quality assurance visits with current Clients. Territory: South Fort Collins/Loveland.

Why Senior Care: My passion for seniors began as a teen while working in a long term care facility. I enjoyed hearing and sharing life experiences with seniors so much that I went on to become an activity director in a few different facilities, one of which brought me to Colorado. Since that time and with the decline of my aging parents due to Parkinson's disease, my focus has turned toward senior advocacy and resource development. I feel, oftentimes, families and seniors alike are unaware of all the services available in the community to assist in keeping them as independent as possible.

Becky Boynton, CARE Manager

Job Responsibilities: Meets with potential Clients and their families to discuss Home Instead services, and conducts quality assurance visits with current Clients. Territory: Estes Park.

Why Senior Care: Being a mum of 3, as well as a daughter, gave me an insight into the needs of seniors in my community, many of whom are isolated from family and support in their homes in this beautiful location. Home Instead gives me an opportunity to reach the seniors in my community and provide care to them in their homes with a fantastic group of caregivers.

Juliana Pic

Juliana Young, Care Manager

Job Responsibilities: Meets with potential Clients and their families to discuss Home Instead services and conducts quality assurance visits with current Clients. Territory: North Fort Collins

Why Senior Care: My passion for serving older adults began 12 years ago when my mom was diagnosed with Dementia and all the siblings lived long distance from them. We came together and learned from an elder care resource in our hometown about what home care is and how it can assist our parents right in their own home. Once we selected Home Instead/MA, we began they met us where we were in the beginning of this journey and stayed with my parents for 6 years. I know without a doubt that my dad (lived to 100) and mom (lived to 94), had the best care, compassion and continuity to live out their years, as they wanted, at home. After 1 year with home care, I decided that I wanted to serve seniors in the home care arena.

Mikey Miller, Service Coordinator

Job Responsibilities: Coordinates the scheduling of service for clients; responsible for scheduling clients and care professionals in order to provide the highest quality service.

Why Senior Care: In all honestly, I stumbled into senior care but I'm happy I did! For about a year, I worked for the front desk with City of Fort Collins recreation department. I particularly loved working at the Senior Center and helping out the elderly, relating to them and trying to bridge the generational gap between us. On a generalized level, throughout my adult life, I've picked up a broad understanding of marginalized groups and the inequities faced by said groups. In particular, It's disheartening knowing that elder abuse at it's most extreme occurs as well as a generally negative attitude toward aging exists. Afterall, we all age and we all need help.

Sharen

Sharen Aquino, Service Coordinator

Job Responsibilities: Coordinates the scheduling of service for clients; responsible for scheduling clients and care professionals in order to provide the highest quality service.

Why Senior Care: I chose to work in senior care because I’ve always had a deep respect for older generations and the lives they've lived. As a scheduling coordinator, I may not provide direct care, but I know that my role is essential in making sure our seniors receive consistent, compassionate support from the right caregivers at the right time. It's incredibly rewarding to know that the work I do behind the scenes helps create stability and comfort for both our clients and our care team. At the end of the day, I’m helping people stay safe, cared for, and connected—and that means everything to me. With a history in real estate support and call center management, I bring sharp organization, strong communication, and a people-first mindset to every task. I take pride in helping operations run smoothly so caregivers can focus on what matters most—providing quality care.

Helping others with their daily living needs and providing companionship isn’t just a job—it’s a calling that I wholeheartedly embrace.
