2025 Will Be Year to Remember for Care Pro Honoree Veronica

For Veronica Castro, the spring of 2025 will be memorable for years to come. For one, that’s when she delivered a beautiful baby girl – on April 15 – to be exact. Two weeks earlier, Home Instead® of Louisville, Colorado, had honored Veronica as its Care Professional of the Month.

With baby Ana Valentina’s time nearing, Veronica stayed with her Home Instead client and assisted him up to her last possible day. Home Instead Recruitment and Engagement Coordinator Brenda Munro explained: “Veronica has a special relationship with a client. She helped him six days a week. Because Veronica is so close with him, she remained with him much longer than she had planned before going on maternity leave.”

Brenda added: “Veronica has been with our Home Instead office for only eight months, but she is truly one of a kind. She has a huge, bubbly personality, and our clients love her. We want her to take as much time as she needs, but we can’t wait for our Care Pro to return.” Offering even more praise for Veronica, Brenda noted: “Veronica displays Home Instead’s guiding principles of ‘Build Trust, Take the Lead and Share Your Heart.’ She has gone above and beyond the call of duty and is exceptional at her work with any client.”

Home Instead’s mission – which has been modeled in Veronica’s daily actions – is to enhance the lives of aging adults and their families, and to pioneer greater professionalism within care work. Veronica is a shining example of how Home Instead created a care experience that’s based on human touch, transparency and compassion. Focusing on Home Instead’s training, processes and procedures of successful caregiving also helped Veronica achieve Care Pro of the Month status.

Veronica, whose franchise is the trusted source for in-home care in Boulder, Broomfield and northwest Adams County, said: “It’s a true pleasure being part of the Home Instead team. I enjoy helping and bringing smiles to our clients’ faces. Knowing I can make a difference really helps me in so many ways!”

For Veronica, touching lives impacts her soul whether she is providing physical help or if she is offering emotional support in a companionship role. In addition to her warm empathy, Veronica helps clients with safety assurance, meal preparation, medication reminders, light housekeeping, and transportation and errands.

Veronica offers personal assistance with eating, grooming, dressing, bathing, incontinence care, cognitive impairment, hospice support and mobility. By expertly doing so, Veronica not only assists her clients, but helps their families eliminate worry, reduce stress and re-establish personal freedom.

To build on their knowledge and experience, Veronica and other Care Pros are offered the opportunity to increase their dementia-care skills by taking part in the Home Instead network’s one-of-a-kind training protocol. Home Instead’s Person-Centered Care Training for Alzheimer’s Disease and Other Dementias is recognized by the Alzheimer’s Association® for incorporating the evidence-based dementia-care practice recommendations in these topic areas: Alzheimer’s and dementia, person-centered care, assessment and care planning, activities of daily living, and behaviors and communication.

Franchise owner Mike Lammers’ Care Pro team is one of Colorado’s outstanding Home Instead franchises, a member of the world’s largest home-care network and the most advanced care platform. Overall, there are more than 100,000 Care Pros across 13 countries, meeting the growing needs of millions of older adults and their families worldwide.
