Sharon Massafra ~ Franchise Owner

Sharon Massafra, Franchise Owner

Sharon Massafra is a Gerontologist and has worked in health care administration for more than 35 years. She worked in various sub-specialties where the population was predominately older adults including orthopedics, oncology and hospice. In 2000 Sharon left the inpatient setting and purchased a franchise of Home Instead, non-medical home care for seniors. She earned a Master's degree in Business Administration and did post graduate studies in public health and gerontology at New York Medical College. Her committee work includes Advisory Board of the Western Connecticut Area Agency on Aging, a former member on the Advisory Board of Stone Academy and past President of Connecticut Geriatrics Society. Sharon is a Certified Senior Advisor (CSA), Care Manager Certified (CMC), Certified Dementia Practitioner (CDP) and an Advanced Professional in the Aging Life Care Association (ALCA).

Sharon is a native and resident of Fairfield, CT.

Frank Dawid ~ Business Manager

Frank Dawid, Business Manager

Frank joined Home Instead in 2006. Frank works as a business manager and continues to work part time in the bookkeeping department. He works full time with the theatrical union.

Frank studied oceanography at Oregon State University (OSU) and received his associates degree in business management from Norwalk Community College (NCC).

Frank is the proud parent of two adult children and looks forward to his first grandchild in Spring 2024. Frank enjoys football, music and spending time with his daughters.

Rose Mannino, Director of Client Services

Rose joined Home Instead in 2005. She managed a restaurant for 12 years and needed a career change. Rose was inspired to go into health care while taking care of her grandmother. At the age of 41, Rose went back to school and enrolled in the multi-skilled assistant program at St. Vincent's College.

Upon graduation, she began her new career at Home Instead as a caregiver providing services to seniors in their homes. Rose quickly became an integral member of our administrative team and served in various positions such as administrative assistant and staff coordinator, before becoming Director of Client Services. She has a genuine passion for seniors and goes above and beyond with her duties. Rose is a Certified Dementia Practitioner (CDP), serves as a member on the Coalition for Advocacy Prevention and Elimination of Older Adult and Abuse (CAPE), and is a member of the Greater Valley Chamber of Commerce Healthcare Council.

Rose is also very dedicated to her family. Her two sons, Nino and Francesco, are the twinkle in her eyes. She also has an adorable Old English Bulldog named Chachi whom she adores.

Rose grew up in Monroe, lived in Italy for two years and resides in Bridgeport. She enjoys Zumba, listening to music and spending time with her family. Rose is a people person and enjoys her job very much - especially when clients are happy. Rose just celebrated her 18th year with Home Instead.

Jeniferlyn O

Jeniferlyn O'Neil, Scheduling Coordinator / Web Marketer

Jeniferlyn joined the Home Instead family in July 2010, bringing with her a strong foundation in legal and administrative work. Prior to joining Home Instead, she worked as a paralegal while attending college full time. Her dedication to professional growth and service has been evident throughout her 14-year tenure with the organization.

Jeniferlyn began her career at Home Instead as a Web Marketer and has since taken on multiple key roles, including Scheduling Coordinator, Payroll Specialist, and Oncall Supervisor. Her versatility and commitment have made her an invaluable member of the team. She holds a degree in Business Management and Administration and earned her medical billing and coding certificate from DeVry University. She is also a Certified Coding Assistant (CCA), further demonstrating her expertise in healthcare administration.

Outside of her professional life, Jeniferlyn is a devoted single parent to two young adult children, Damon and Brielle, and is engaged to her fiancé, Andrew. She enjoys listening to music, reading, hiking, and practicing ballet and Pilates. Her well-rounded interests and strong family values reflect the compassion and dedication she brings to her role every day.

Dailyn Dawid - Recruitment & Engagement Administrative Assistant

Dailyn joined Home instead in July 2021 as a part time assistant to integrate the latest technologies into the daily operations of Home Instead. She moved into the position as administrative assistant in Human Resources and assists in the hiring process of Care Professionals. 

Dailyn is a young, energetic person with a lot of goals in mind. She is currently a full-time student at Norwalk Community College (NCC) pursuing a nursing degree with an interest of becoming a nurse anesthetist one day. She spends much of her free time hitting the slopes skiing and climbing up mountains at the best hiking spots around.

Erika Sanchez - Recruitment & Engagement Coordinator

Ann Herrera - Business Development Manager

Ann is a dedicated and passionate business development professional with 15+ years of driving revenue growth, securing multi-million-dollar wins, and consistently surpassing sales goals. Proven success managing enterprise sales and national accounts in healthcare, tourism, banking and finance, etc. Known for delivering 20%+ YOY growth, earning President’s Club honors, and building strategies that boost ROI and long-term retention. Her dedication and belief in the businesses she has worked for shows as it has helped these businesses surpass their goals. With her expertise in digital marketing and strategizing and cultivating clients at various media outlets and multiple agencies, the number of businesses she has helped grow are innumerable. She is a collaborative, team player who works hard for the clients she serves, turning relationships into lasting partnerships. 

Ann is also a part-time musician who takes great joy in performing for the area seniors at various healthcare facilities. She loves going to concerts, hiking national parks, and spending time with her family. 

 

Elizabeth Bufalini - Administrative Assistant

Elizabeth, known to many as Liz, has been a valued member of the Home Instead team since the franchise first opened its doors. She began her career with the organization as a full-time Payroll Specialist and Bookkeeper, bringing with her a strong background in finance and healthcare. At the time, Liz also held a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license and worked part-time in a nursing home, all while raising her children as a single mother. Her commitment to caregiving extended beyond her administrative role, as she also served as a fill-in caregiver, demonstrating her deep compassion and versatility.

A lifelong resident of Stratford, Connecticut, Liz has lived in the community for over 45 years. Prior to rejoining Home Instead, she retired from Mary Wade Home, a respected nursing facility, where she worked for many years as a Payroll Specialist and Biller. Her return to Home Instead in a part-time capacity as both a caregiver and administrative assistant reflects her enduring dedication to serving others.

Liz is deeply family-oriented and takes great pride in her role as a grandmother. She continues a cherished tradition of hosting Sunday family dinners, a legacy passed down from her mother. Outside of her professional and family life, Liz is actively involved in her church, volunteering with The Lord’s Kitchen to help feed those in need, and attending daily mass. She also enjoys staying active at the gym, traveling, reading, and attending concerts.
