Anne Peters, Franchise Owner
Anne is our Franchise Business Owner. She began her career with Home Instead Inc. at the home office in Omaha, NE, in 2004. She and her husband, Troy, have been franchise owners since 2008; now serving 10 Iowa counties. Anne is dedicated to fostering a culture of leadership, promoting Home Instead in the community, and organizing community service projects. She is passionate about raising awareness about senior issues, challenges, and needs. Anne currently serves on the Board of the Iowa Center for Home Care. Her dedication and passion has been recognized as Home Instead's first Franchisee of the Year recipient in 2024.
Anne was blessed to have long and memorable relationships with her grandparents. A Mayflower apartment in Grinnell was one of the backdrops to many of these memories: rolled out molasses cookies, brown bread and visits to the Mini Shop. "My grandparents helped forge my love of family and my faith". Sunday night dinners are one of the favorite traditions that continues in the Peters home to this day. Generations sitting around the table sharing favorite recipes, laughter, and love.

Rhonda Miller, Recruitment Coordinator
Rhonda developed a burning to desire to help seniors through delivering groceries to their homes. As her relationships with her customers grew, she saw a serious need for home care and companionship. “Seniors, who are homebound, are lonely. They still want to keep their independence and take care of themselves but physical ailments have limited their lifestyle.” When Rhonda saw the help wanted ad for Home Instead, she immediately went to apply. She was impressed with Home Instead’s passion for improving the quality of life for seniors and families in their communities.
Rhonda ‘s favorite childhood memory of grandparents was her maternal grandfather threatening in Dutch to send her father to jail. She couldn’t understand a word he said but it always made her laugh. And nothing beat her paternal grandmother’s hot fudge sauce!
Rhonda’s duties at Home Instead are processing invoices and payroll, maintaining the website and bookkeeping. She enjoys interacting with the clients and Care Pros.

Daphne Davis, General Manager
While growing up, I found myself making special connections with the seniors in my life. Those experiences ranged from spending days out on the farm with my G-ma and Papa, to Saturday evenings with my neighbor, Clifford, styling his hair while watching the Lawrence Welk Show and talking about the "good old times," to forming a special connection with my nursing home pen pal when I was in third grade. We stayed close until she passed during my senior year in high school. I have always found a unique closeness with the older generation.
Later in life, I took a year off work to care for my father-in-law, who was in the later stages of Alzheimer's disease. Through that experience, I was able to see him light up remembering people from his past and glimpses of the most happy moments in his life. Most recently, I have had the pleasure of assisting with my mother's care after she experienced several debilitating strokes. Seeing my mom's joy when I was able to take her shopping for the first time and watching her teach her grandbabies to cook again, are moments that continue to inspire me on the path of care giving.
I am honored to be in the General Manager role at Home Instead -- facilitating these kinds of special moments between our Care Pros and the clients we care so much about.

Miranda Gobel, Service Coordinator
I was lucky to grow up super close to my maternal grandparents in Indiana. I spent the summers with my grandma going to fun places and enjoying new adventures with her. I also spend a lot of time with my grandpa in his barber shop -- sweeping the floor and watching classic musicals while he worked with his customers. Now that my husband and I are two states away, in Iowa, I know how hard it is to be far away from aging loved ones – wanting someone who is knowledgeable, dependable, and kind to care for them. I am so excited to be the person at Home Instead who gets to match our amazing caregivers with all our amazing clients! To me, it’s not just a tagline. It IS personal.

Arieal Lum, Home Care Consultant
Growing up, I spent countless afternoons visiting my great-grandmother, sharing ice cream and enjoying our playful Jeopardy guesses. Those memories shaped my understanding of the importance of family and compassionate care, a value I carry with me today. Although I never initially considered a career in home care, that all changed when I discovered the field a year ago. The only thing I would change now is not knowing about it sooner!
After a few years of working in dog grooming, I earned my Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification from Signature Healthcare in Waukee, IA, and soon began my journey with Home Instead in Des Moines. Over the course of a year, I provided care to aging adults, gaining valuable experience in hospice, Alzheimer’s care, stroke recovery, and more. The relationships I built with clients during this time are deeply meaningful to me, and in March 2025, I was honored to be named Caregiver of the Month.
Now, I am thrilled to serve as the Home Care Consultant for Marion and Mahaska Counties at the Newton office. With my hands-on caregiving experience, I’m dedicated to helping families find the best care solutions for their loved ones. I take pride in creating personalized, compassionate experiences and strive to build the same kind of special bond between caregivers and clients that I had with my great-grandmother.
