Overnight Caregiver

We are seeking one compassionate and dedicated overnight Caregiver to provide exceptional support to our senior clients in their homes. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting individuals with daily living activities, managing behaviors, and ensuring a safe and comfortable environment. This role requires a strong understanding of patient care and the ability to work effectively in a home care setting.

Valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle, with a willingness to transport clients as needed is a requirement.
The client location is Dixon, IL.

Availability Requirement

• 8pm-8am shifts 2x a week
  • These are AWAKE overnight shifts. You cannot sleep during the shift at all.

Duties

• Provide one-on-one care to clients, including assistance with ADLs such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Support clients with daily living activities, including meal preparation, medication management, and housekeeping.
• Develop and implement personalized care plans that cater to each client's unique needs and preferences.
• Utilize effective behavior management techniques to ensure the safety and well-being of clients.
• Provide transportation to appointments and errands as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized living space, adhering to our organization's standards for cleanliness and safety.
• Build strong relationships with clients and their families, providing emotional support and companionship.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care and address any concerns or issues that may arise.

Skills

• Knowledge of ADLs and the ability to assist with daily living activities.
• Ability to work effectively in a home care setting, including managing challenging behaviors.
• Experience working with seniors is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
