Care Professional – Live-In Shifts (3–4 Days at a Time)

About the Role:
At Home Instead®, our Care Professionals provide essential, non-medical support that allows seniors to live safely and comfortably in their own homes. We are currently hiring for live-in shifts, where you will reside in a client’s home for 3 to 4 consecutive days at a time, delivering round-the-clock, consistent care.
This is a rewarding opportunity for experienced caregivers or CNAs who are dependable, compassionate, and comfortable traveling and staying in various client homes within our multi-location service area.

Key Responsibilities:
Live in the client’s home for 3–4 consecutive days, providing around-the-clock care.
Offer companionship and emotional support throughout the duration of the stay.
Assist with non-medical personal care such as bathing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
Provide medication reminders, assist with daily routines, and remain available for overnight needs.
Perform light housekeeping, meal preparation, and accompany clients to appointments or errands.
Use assistive equipment such as Hoyer lifts when required.
Document care accurately and report any health or safety concerns promptly.
Requirements:
Availability for live-in shifts (3 to 4 consecutive 24-hour periods).
Must be willing and able to travel throughout our service territories, which include:
Quad Cities (Moline, IL & Bettendorf, IA), Champaign, IL, Oak Park, IL, Crystal Lake, IL, and Rockford, IL.Caregiving experience required; CNA certification preferred.
Valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and current auto insurance.
Must pass an IDPH background check, drug screening, and driving record check.
Comfortable with the physical demands of caregiving, including lifting (up to 25 lbs).
Ability to adapt to various home environments and respond to overnight needs.
Comfortable using basic technology for training and daily documentation.
