We love Christmas time, but have you ever wondered how the holidays were celebrated when our country was still young? This December, the Home Instead team is happy to spotlight a local event that takes you back in time to explore just that! Join the community at Perry County Public Library, 2328 Tell Street, on Wednesday, December 4th, from 5:30 to 6:30pm, for Christmas in the American Colonies presented by award-winning author Eddie Price.
This program takes you back in time to see the diverse ways European settlers celebrated Christmas across the colonies. Every region had its own unique way of marking the holiday season. You'll even get a glimpse into George Washington’s Mount Vernon Christmas through diary entries and the President’s personal gift list.
