At Home Instead, we know how important social events are for seniors. Activities like dances and community gatherings present an opportunity for older adults to laugh, create new memories, and simply enjoy life. Recently, we helped the team at Ashley Gardens Assisted Living & Memory Care, where preparations were underway for a very special Senior Prom.
Our Community Relations Liaison, Melinda, had the joy of spending the day with the residents as they searched for the perfect dress during their “Say Yes to the Dress — Senior Prom Edition”. The energy in the room was infectious as the ladies stepped in and out of dressing rooms, their faces lighting up when they found “the one.” Each gown told a story, and each smile was priceless. Dozens of beautiful dresses had been donated, ensuring that every resident could find something that made them feel radiant.
It’s moments like these that remind us how fortunate we are to serve a community filled with so much kindness and generosity.
