Monica Monasmith

Monica Monasmith, Owner

Monica Monasmith is the dedicated franchise owner of Home Instead in Marble Falls, Texas, where she combines personal experience, deep empathy, and professional excellence to provide exceptional in-home care for seniors. Her passion for this work is rooted in her own life—growing up, Monica shared a close bond with her grandfather, who was diagnosed with brain cancer and passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by family. Those quiet afternoons spent sitting beside him after school became some of her most treasured memories.
 
Later, she watched her great-grandfather live out his final years in the loving care of her grandmother. Monica fondly recalls Sunday afternoons spent cracking pecans and snapping green beans from their garden—moments that instilled in her the value of aging with dignity and connection.
 
Now, as a business owner, Monica sees that same need every day. She has personally walked into seniors’ homes and found expired or molded food in the fridge—signs of advanced dementia that often go unnoticed. She’s been there to clean out the fridge, prepare healthy meals, build trust with clients who are hesitant to accept help, and gently guide them to accept assistance with bathing, medication reminders, and doctor visits. Watching their depression lift, their confidence grow, and their quality of life improve is what fuels her every day.
 
Under Monica’s leadership, Home Instead in Marble Falls has become a trusted and compassionate resource for families across the Highland Lakes. Her mission is clear: to help seniors live independently, safely, and with dignity—at home, where they belong.
Shannon Davis, General Manager

Shannon Davis, General Manager

Shannon is a Texas transplant from WA state but got here just as soon as she was able! She has spent the last 12 years in the Complex Rehabilitation Industry where she fought to get the needed equipment for patients and helped customize the needed equipment to fit her specific patient need. She has a very strong passion for helping people no matter what is needed and wholeheartedly believes our Seniors deserve to be in their own homes and is dedicated to helping keep them there. She is so excited to be a part of our team and help make a difference! 

When not at work she loves spending time with her husband and dogs curled up on the couch with a favorite movie. She has 4 children and a grandson who she spends every free moment with!

Traci Reeves, Business Development Advisor

As a Business Development Advisor with Home Instead in Marble Falls, Traci is driven by a deep respect for our senior citizens and their invaluable contributions to our community. Traci's personal connection to the elderly, shaped by the love and guidance of her grandparents, inspires her to advocate for their well-being and dignity. With 15 years of experience in Texas education, she brings patience, empathy, and strong communication skills to her role. Traci is a proud Texan, a single mom, and passionate about building relationships that honor our seniors and provide them with the support they deserve. She is committed to transforming how our community views and cares for its elders.

Athena Briones

Athena Briones, Recruitment & Engagement Manager

With over 14 years of experience in human resources, Athena Briones brings a wealth of expertise and a heart for service to her role as Recruitment and Engagement Manager at Home Instead. She is passionate about building strong, compassionate teams that deliver exceptional in-home care to senior citizens in the Marble Falls community.
 
Athena specializes in talent acquisition, employee engagement, and cultivating a positive workplace culture. Her deep understanding of people and her commitment to meaningful connections help ensure that every caregiver-client match supports dignity, independence, and quality of life.
 
Outside of work, Athena enjoys crafting and spending time on her small ranchette, where she lovingly cares for her chickens. She finds joy in the simple things and is proud to be part of a mission-driven organization that values respect, compassion, and community.

Family-oriented at heart, Ashley finds joy in being both a devoted mom and a proud grandmother, and she brings that same nurturing spirit to every client she serves.
