Madison’s Hard Work and Dedication Are Rewarded
Home Instead® Care Professional of the Month Madison Vasquez’s clients could feel her compassion and empathy on the first day she showed up to assist them. Those are two of the characteristics that are evaluated when a Care Pro is considered for the employee of the month award. Of course, there are others.
- Has the Care Pro gone above and beyond the call of duty?
- Does the Care Pro possess the skills and wisdom to be highly successful?
- Is the Care Pro exceptional at her work with any client?
- Does the Care Pro focus on Home Instead’s training, processes and procedures of successful caregiving? In other words, does the Care Pro work at getting better?
- Does the Care Pro help her co-workers by sharing meaningful advice and instruction?
For Home Instead Engagement and Training Coordinator Rozephyr Jean, the answers were yes. When Rozephyr announced Madison had been honored as Care Pro of the Month, Rozephyr said Madison displays Home Instead’s guiding principles of “Build Trust, Take the Lead and Share Your Heart.” Madison was selected as the July Care Pro of the Month just seven months after joining the award-winning Home Instead franchise in January 2025.
Rozephyr said: “When Madison joined our Home Instead franchise in Midland as a Lead Care Pro just after the first of the year, she hit the ground running. As a Certified Nursing Assistant, she plays a key role in conducting many of our client-caregiver introductions, helping ensure smooth transitions and strong first impressions. Of course, Home Instead’s mission is to enhance the lives of aging adults and their families, and to pioneer greater professionalism within care work. Madison has helped us create a care experience that’s based on highly professional skills, human touch, transparency and compassion.”
Rozephyr added: “Madison also leads our Personal Care Training during new hire orientations, sharing her expertise and setting high standards from day one. Her skills and knowledge are truly unmatched. Beyond her professional strengths, Madison brings a warm, calming presence. You can’t help but smile when she walks into the room. I know that our co-owners, Lorena and William Shensky, agree with the staff and me that we all feel incredibly fortunate to have Madison on our Home Instead team. She has been bouncing all over the place this summer to help us. Madison never seems to stop.”
Lorena and William have been the Home Instead franchise’s co-owners in Midland since March 1, 2020. Lorena, William, Rozephyr and Madison are proud members of a franchise network directed by Home Instead, Inc. and its parent company, Honor. With the world’s largest home-care network and the most advanced care platform, Honor and Home Instead are revolutionizing care for older adults, their families and Care Pros. Combined, the network has more than 100,000 Care Pros across 13 countries, meeting the growing needs of millions of older adults and their families worldwide.
In addition to her strong companionship skills, Madison provides safety assurance, meal preparation, medication reminders, light housekeeping, and transportation and errands. While Madison offers personal assistance with eating, grooming, dressing, bathing, incontinence care, cognitive impairment, hospice support and mobility, she also teaches those skills to other Care Pros. By expertly employing those skills, Madison and her fellow Care Pros not only assist their clients, but help their families eliminate worry, reduce stress and re-establish personal freedom.
To build on their knowledge and experience, Madison and other Midland Care Pros are offered the opportunity to increase their dementia-care skills by taking part in the Home Instead network’s one-of-a-kind training protocol. Home Instead’s Person-Centered Care Training for Alzheimer’s Disease and Other Dementias is recognized by the Alzheimer’s Association® for incorporating the evidence-based dementia-care practice recommendations in these topic areas: Alzheimer’s and dementia, person-centered care, assessment and care planning, activities of daily living, and behaviors and communication.
