Home Instead Among Forbes’ Best Employers in 2025
We’re excited to share that Home Instead has received two major recognitions from Forbes this summer.
Recognized Among the Best Employers by State
In its 2025 America’s Best Employers by State ranking, Forbes named Home Instead one of the top workplaces across the U.S. We’re especially proud that Alabama ranked #5 and Arizona ranked #24, a reflection of the strong culture we’ve built together in communities nationwide.
Dan Pahos, the franchise owner of Home Instead of Birmingham, Alabama spoke about his leadership ethos and how he creates a culture of connection:
“We regularly spotlight Care Pros who go above and beyond, whether it’s recognizing something exceptional they did over the weekend, calling them to say ‘thank you,’ or sharing innovative tips they’ve created to help others on their team,” said Dan Pahos, franchise owner of Home Instead in Birmingham, Alabama. “We never miss a milestone either. Our work anniversaries are deeply meaningful here. And that family culture is infused into the way employees care for clients.”
Kelly Cornelius, franchise owner of several Home Instead offices in Arizona, added some light on how she builds a strong team culture:
“I think enjoyment stems from the people around you and the type of work you do. Our shared passion for the health and wellbeing of seniors is the thing that brings us together. Beyond that, it’s finding people who want to work hard for a cause, build great relationships with their team members and create something special together.”
Debbie Gross, who co-owns multiple Home Instead franchises in Arizona, highlighted how culture is sustained day-to-day:
“We’ve built a culture that’s flexible, honest, and deeply human. Care doesn’t pause for weekends or holidays and our team shows up with heart, resilience, and a shared sense of purpose. Mistakes are expected, learning is expected, and showing up with your full, authentic self is more than welcome.”
By celebrating and supporting Care Pros and office staff in meaningful ways, Home Instead strengthens the care experience for families, showing how investing in our people directly impacts those we serve.
Championing Women in the Workplace
Home Instead was also named to Forbes’ America’s Best Employers for Women 2025 list, ranking #45 in the Healthcare & Social Services category. This accolade reflects our ongoing efforts to foster an inclusive environment, create meaningful career opportunities, and strong leadership representation for women.
Caring for Caregivers to Better Serve Families
These honors affirm what we’ve always known: when our Care Profs feel valued, supported, and recognized, they bring their very best to the families we serve. At Home Instead, caring for the caregiver is central to how we care for clients, because when our team members thrive, older adults thrive too.
